Local first. Nothing leaves your machine.

Type today.
See the pattern tomorrow.

Keylo charts the rhythm of your own typing speed, error rate, and timing drift so you can notice fatigue or stress before it piles up. Runs quietly in your menu bar, entirely offline.

The dashboard

Your rhythm, charted.

Every session rolls up into speed, accuracy, and drift, so a slow week actually looks like one instead of disappearing into the noise.

90 days at a glance

A rolling view of your typing activity, colored by how much you typed that day. Nothing here ever leaves your machine.

  • Digraph flight and hold timing, not keystroke content
  • Drift z-scores that flag when your rhythm changes
  • Automatically skips password managers and terminals

Everything it needs, nothing it doesn't.

Keylo does one job carefully instead of many jobs loosely.

Active

Lives in the menu bar

An icon is visible the entire time capture is active, and flips the moment you pause it. Nothing runs silently in the background.

⌃⌥P
Paused 8s

One hotkey pause

A global shortcut pauses capture instantly from any app, including full screen, for a timed break or the rest of the session.

No network entitlement

Offline is enforced at the sandbox level, not just promised. You can verify it yourself with a single codesign command.

Cross platform

Native builds for macOS and Windows today, with Linux tracked as the next target. Same data model, same local only rules.

A glanceable widget

A small, non-sensitive summary lives in your desktop widgets, so you don't need to open the app to check your trend.

Storage stays local

Saving history to disk is off by default. When you turn it on, the database key lives in your Keychain, never beside the data.

Questions

Frequently asked

The short answers. The full policy is on the privacy page.

No. Keylo captures timing between keystrokes, not the characters themselves. Character reconstruction only runs for the optional spelling table, which is off by default and can stay off entirely.
No. There is no account, no sync, and no server. On macOS the app ships without a network entitlement, so the sandbox itself blocks outbound connections, not just app logic.
Capture stops. Keylo respects Secure Input rather than working around it, and a default exclusion list also skips password managers, Keychain Access, and terminals.
Yes. Keylo is free and open source under the MIT license. The full source for every platform is on GitHub.
Yes. "Clear all data" in Settings removes the local database and its Keychain key in one step.
No. The dashboard shows pattern notes to help you notice change over time. It never offers a diagnosis and is not a substitute for medical advice.
